CMA Program Discounts Part of TOA Global’s New Partnership with IMA

TOA Global President and Country Manager (Philippines) Ian Zafra and Marcel Ewals, IMA’s Regional Director (Asia-Pacific), signed a new partnership agreement last November 5, 2025 in Manila, with other TOA Global and IMA leaders in attendance.

On November 5, 2025, TOA Global signed a partnership agreement with the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), further paving the way for team members to acquire advanced management accounting credentials.

Ian Zafra, TOA Global’s President and Country Manager (Philippines), and Marcel Ewals, IMA’s Regional Director (Asia-Pacific) signed the agreement in Manila, with other TOA Global and IMA leaders in attendance.

Through this partnership, TOA Global team members will gain access to globally recognized accounting certifications that will enhance their career as well as their international clients’ credibility and performance.

The partnership enables TOA Global team members to access:

  • Discounts in IMA membership fees
  • Special rates for the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) program
  • Local and regional IMA chapter events and networking
  • Live webinars to supplement their in-house learning opportunities
  • IMA’s course library, which includes relevant courses such as data analytics, reporting and control, and sustainable business practices.

Continuous learning opportunities and a strong sense of purpose work together to help our team members feel satisfied and engaged throughout their TOA Global careers.

Management accounting and other valuable credentials

Accounting certifications that international employers value do more than boost our team members’ confidence. These also pave the way for our senior accountants to advance to roles in corporate finance, finance business partnering, and advisory or consultancy work.

“Our partnership with IMA gives our professionals the structure, support, and resources they need to prepare for and succeed in the CMA program,” said Anne King, TOA Global’s Vice President of Global Talent.

“It’s a powerful alignment between academic learning, professional certification, and on-the-job application, creating a seamless development journey for our people.”

Founded in New York in 1919, the IMA began as the National Association of Cost Accountants.  Now in its 106th year, the IMA also offers the Financial and Managerial Accounting Associate and Certified in Strategy and Competitive Analysis certifications.

Yet even before TOA Global forged this partnership with IMA, we have always invested in our team members’ career development and learning pathways, with a dedicated training division that helps everyone hone their technical, software, and soft skills.

Since 2013, TOA Global has connected more than 4,200 accountants, bookkeepers, and other professionals with more than 1,200 firms, unlocking both individual and business growth through meaningful work and learning opportunities.

If you’re an accountant, bookkeeper, or auditor with at least two years of professional experience and a desire to keep learning and to grow with an international team, we have the ideal role for you.
