Shift: Monday – Friday | 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM PHT

As a US Tax Manager, you are a strategic leader and the technical authority for our North American tax operations. This role is designed for a high-level expert with a proven track record of managing complex compliance portfolios and leading high-performing teams. You won’t just be overseeing returns; you will be the architect of client relationships, a mentor to the next generation of tax professionals, and a key driver of operational excellence in a global accounting ecosystem.

 

Your Impact

  • Strategic Compliance Oversight: Manage and oversee the end-to-end tax preparation and compliance lifecycle for Individuals, S-Corporations, and Partnerships. Ensure absolute accuracy and strict adherence to evolving federal and state tax regulations, providing a final layer of technical review for the firm.

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and inspire a team of tax professionals. Take responsibility for their professional development, providing the training and support necessary to ensure high-quality output, efficient operations, and the consistent meeting of rigorous US tax deadlines.

  • Client Relationship Architect: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with US-based clients. Act as a trusted advisor, providing personalized tax guidance and exceptional service to address unique business needs, including specialized sectors like Real Estate.

  • Analytical Problem Solving: Leverage your deep technical knowledge to identify tax-saving opportunities and resolve complex tax issues. Deliver proactive solutions and manage ongoing changes in tax law to ensure clients remain in optimal standing with the IRS and state authorities.

  • Digital Ecosystem Mastery: Optimize the use of modern tax and accounting software, including ProConnect, Canopy, QuickBooks, Xero, and Gusto. Drive process improvements by staying updated on industry trends and accounting technology to provide value-added services.

 

What You Bring

  • The Experience: Minimum 5+ years of progressive US Tax experience and 5+ years of proven team management experience. You have a solid background as a US Tax Manager, specifically within a public accounting or SME environment.

  • Technical Mastery: Exceptional knowledge of tax accounting and compliance, with the ability to review complex individual and S-Corp returns. You possess a deep understanding of nexus and the various state-specific differences related to tax filings.

  • Leadership Prowess: Strong personnel management capabilities with an analytical mindset. You are a process-oriented leader who can meet tight deadlines, solve high-level problems, and communicate complex tax concepts clearly to both staff and clients.

  • The Toolkit: Proficiency in Excel and experience with Adobe PDF/Acrobat. Direct experience with ProConnect, Canopy, and QuickBooks is highly preferred.
