Unlock Your Potential!
At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients in the accounting industry.
As a US Senior Accountant, you are a strategic leader and a technical authority within our North American division. This role is designed for a seasoned professional who has moved beyond core execution and is ready to manage complex client portfolios, including SMEs, trusts, and High-Net-Worth (HNW) individuals. You won’t just be preparing returns; you will be the final line of defense for quality, a mentor to growing talent, and a key advisor in navigating the intricate US tax landscape.
Your Impact
Strategic Portfolio Management: Lead end-to-end compliance work for a diverse range of US clients with minimal supervision. Manage the lifecycle of federal and state tax filings for individuals, partnerships, and corporations, with specialized exposure to multi-state filings and estate & trust matters.
Quality Assurance & Leadership: Act as a critical reviewer for the work of staff, junior, and intermediate accountants. Use your "reviewer’s eye" to ensure that every financial statement, tax return, and workpaper meets the highest firm and regulatory standards before partner sign-off.
Tax Planning & Advisory: Move beyond compliance by providing proactive tax planning insights. Handle sensitive IRS and state correspondence, formulating action plans to resolve notices and ensuring clients remain in optimal standing with regulatory bodies.
General Ledger & Financial Reporting: Oversee the integrity of the General Ledger and the production of complex financial reports. Analyze account information and trends to provide the high-level workpapers that form the basis for strategic business decisions.
Global Team Coordination: Communicate at an executive level with U.S.-based accounting teams to resolve complex issues, clarify data, and ensure that all global deliverables are met with precision and on schedule.
What You Bring
The Experience: 3–5+ years of dedicated US accounting experience is mandatory, specifically within a US accounting firm or SME environment. You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
Technical Mastery: Proven expertise in managing SMEs, trusts, and HNW client portfolios. You are a power user of QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online and possess a deep, practical understanding of US GAAP and federal/state tax laws (1040, 1120S, 1065, 1041).
Leadership Prowess: Strong mentoring and review skills. You are a proactive problem-solver with excellent English business communication skills and the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
