Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients in the accounting and specialized engineering industries.
As a Project Engineer, you are the technical backbone of complex electrical construction projects. This role is designed for an engineering professional who thrives in the fast-paced world of site coordination, design support, and project delivery. You won’t just be reviewing drawings; you will be solving real problems in real time, bridging the gap between engineering intent and on-the-ground execution across some of Australia’s most demanding construction environments.
Your Impact
Site Powerhouse: Assist Managers and Supervisors with daily site activities and project coordination, attending site and coordination meetings to keep electrical works on track and in line with construction programs.
Design Detective: Review electrical drawings, specifications, and scope of works; prepare sketches, calculations, and assist with shop drawings, mark-ups, and coordination drawings—proficiently using PowerCAD, AGI, and Bluebeam.
Clash Commander: Identify and help resolve design clashes and technical issues and assist with Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical submissions to keep the project moving without a hitch.
Compliance Guardian: Ensure installations comply with relevant electrical standards and project specifications, while helping maintain quality documentation including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
Procurement Partner: Assist with material take-offs, liaise with suppliers and subcontractors under supervision, and maintain accurate project records and documentation to support cost-effective engineering solutions.
Commissioning Contributor: Assist in the preparation of commissioning plans, checklists, and test results, and help compile as-built drawings, operation manuals, and handover documentation for a seamless project close-out.
What You Bring
The Experience: Proven experience in a similar role on electrical construction projects, with the ability to interpret contractual requirements, technical drawings, and specifications with confidence.
Technical Mastery: High computer literacy and proficiency in PowerCAD, AGI, and Bluebeam. A strong understanding of Australian Standards and the ability to prepare reports and implement quality control measures.
The Mindset: Excellent attention to detail, outstanding communication skills, and the flexibility to adapt across multiple projects reporting to multiple project managers simultaneously. A proactive, solutions-oriented professional who takes pride in delivering compliant, cost-effective engineering outcomes and supporting the wider project team at every stage.
Bonus Credentials: Revit/CAD experience or qualification and/or an Electrical Engineering background—a significant advantage for candidates looking to hit the ground running.
