At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients across the accounting, finance, and professional services industries.
We are seeking a highly technical, leadership-driven Senior Associate Corporate Audit – EBP to take the lead in a specialized, high-growth field. In this critical role, you will serve as the technical anchor for Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) external audits, overseeing compliance parameters across ERISA, GAAS, and US GAAP frameworks. This role is onsite upon hire, with the possibility of transitioning into a hybrid setup after 3 months (or extended depending on performance and progress). Operating from our premium facilities on a US-aligned night shift, you will manage multiple concurrent audit engagements, review complex workpapers, and mentor junior staff while delivering strategic compliance insights to international clients.
Your Impact
Lead EBP Audit Engagements: Drive employee benefit plan audits from inception to completion, managing the comprehensive planning, execution, and final reporting for defined contribution, defined benefit, ESOP, and health/welfare plans.
Quality Assurance & Review: Supervise, train, and mentor Audit Staff and Interns, performing detailed reviews of financial workpapers and evaluating team performance to ensure total alignment with GAAS.
Strategic Client Relationship Management: Deepen client trust by mastering their operational structures, managing milestone expectations, addressing technical audit exceptions, and recommending process improvements.
Operational & Budgetary Oversight: Track actual engagement hours against budgeted targets, deliver proactive status updates to Audit Managers, and maintain absolute compliance with ERISA and US GAAP guidelines.
Practice Support & Network Growth: Assist with the development of technical business proposals and participate in industry-specific networking opportunities to expand the firm's specialized EBP portfolio.
What You Bring
The Experience: Minimum 2+ years of public accounting external audit experience, with a dedicated focus on auditing employee benefit plans.
Technical Mastery: In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and ERISA compliance parameters. Direct familiarity with US Department of Labor (DOL) rules, regulations, and Form 5500 filings is a substantial advantage.
Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (a Master’s degree is preferred). Must be a CPA or CPA-eligible. If currently an active US CPA, you must be a member in good standing with the AICPA and relevant state societies.
Project & Team Competencies: Strong analytical, leadership, and multi-tasking capabilities. You are an initiative-driven professional with excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
