Unlock Your Potential!
At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients across the accounting, finance, and professional services industries.
We are seeking a highly technical Senior Accountant to manage a portfolio of small to medium enterprises, family groups, and investors. You will deliver high-level accounting, taxation, and advisory services while providing technical oversight, file reviews, and active delegation support to junior team members.
Your Impact
Financial Reporting & Complex Accounting: Prepare management accounts, workpapers, and special-purpose financial statements for large multi-entity structures; manage WIP reports and draft invoices for manager approval.
Tax Compliance & Technical Research: Prepare income tax returns, activity statements (BAS/IAS), and FBT returns. Apply deep knowledge of Division 7A, CGT concessions, franking accounts, superannuation caps, and capital allowances while drafting technical tax research memos.
Business Advisory & Reporting: Deliver client advisory support through cash flow forecasting, budget preparation, financial ratio analysis, management reporting tools (e.g., Fathom), and entity structure recommendations.
Team Supervision & File Review: Delegate assignments, conduct rigorous workpaper reviews to minimize review points, set clear expectations for junior team members, and foster a supportive, learning-driven culture.
Client Engagement & ATO Liaison: Act as a key client contact, manage day-to-day queries, liaise directly with the ATO and external parties (insurers, financiers), and ensure strict alignment with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
What You Bring
Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion). Xero Advisor certification (including payroll) is highly regarded.
The Experience: 4 to 5+ years of solid experience within an Australian public practice or professional accounting firm, with proven capabilities in file review and complex entity management.
Software Competency: Advanced proficiency in Xero, Xero Practice Manager (XPM), MYOB, ATO Portal, Microsoft Office 365 Suite (SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and management reporting tools such as Fathom.
Core Competencies: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, commercial acumen, precise workpaper preparation abilities, and superior written and verbal English communication.
