Unlock Your Potential!
At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients in the accounting industry.
As a Senior Accountant (AR), you are the operational cornerstone of the Accounts Receivable division and a key guardian of financial integrity. This role is designed for a seasoned professional who has moved beyond baseline transactions and is ready to apply advanced accounting principles to drive the cash application, data analysis, and reconciliation lifecycle. Partnering directly with the Sr. Manager-Operations Accounting and Controller, you will safeguard healthy cash flow by managing complex chargeback resolutions, navigating structural deductions, and optimizing month-end controls to support international business growth.
Your Impact
Accounts Receivable Mastery: Own and maintain the total accuracy of the A/R subledger. Oversee cash application, credits, returns-related adjustments, and customer account balances. Monitor and analyze A/R aging, unapplied cash, and open items to eliminate operational discrepancies.
Deduction & Dispute Resolution: Lead comprehensive research into short payments, compliance violations, pricing discrepancies, and customer chargebacks. Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Warehouse teams to uncover structural root causes (e.g., ASN/PO errors, packing issues).
Receivables Factoring Oversight: Manage day-to-day accounting and coordination for factored receivables. Coordinate new customer applications, track funding activity, handle transaction reconciliations between A/R schedules and bank logs, and accurately account for factoring fees, discounts, and held reserves.
Month-End Close & Financial Reporting: Lead A/R-related month-end close workflows, including ledger roll-forwards, journal entries, and variance/flux analysis. Complete high-level balance sheet reconciliations (A/R subledger to GL tie-outs, unapplied cash, and bad debt reserves).
Operations Accounting Analysis: Generate and interpret advanced analytical reports to evaluate operational performance. Review trends involving processing bottlenecks, production/labor costs, overhead allocation, and inventory adjustments to enhance key performance indicators (KPIs).
Audit Defense & Process Innovation: Support internal and external financial/bank audit requests by assembling comprehensive compliance schedules. Systematically document and elevate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal controls through automation, ERP enhancements, and workflow streamlining.
What You Bring
The Experience: A minimum of 4 years of progressive work experience in accounting, featuring substantial, hands-on responsibility in high-volume Accounts Receivable management, factoring workflows, and complex multi-layer reconciliations.
The Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. A CPA license or being CPA-eligible (or holding a relevant advanced technical certification) is highly preferred.
Technical & Industry Toolkit: Intermediate to advanced mastery of MS Excel. Practical exposure to ERP environments (experience with AS/400 is a notable advantage). Background within the apparel, consumer goods, or manufacturing industries is a significant plus.
The Mindset: A proactive self-starter with an analytical mindset, deep intellectual curiosity, and robust critical thinking skills. You demonstrate exceptional English business communication skills across all corporate levels, along with the agility to manage competing deadlines independently.
