Roster Clerk is office-based staff who performs an integral role in ensuring services are delivered to customers. The Roster Clerk is responsible in assisting the Coordinators in delivering a range of services using a team of community support professionals.

 

The role involves liaising with the coordinator/ s and customers to ensure services are provided in accordance with the customer’s assessed needs and support professional are availability.  The overall responsibility is to provide quality operational services, while maintaining efficiency and cost effectiveness and meeting compliance and procedural requirements.

 

Your Impact

  • Roster a wide range of services to people who are frail or aged, people with a disability, or with dementia, health concerns, and carers requiring respite.

  • Effective roster management of the Support Professionals and nurses providing the services.

  • Active participation in the Quality Improvement Program Accreditation processes.

  • Coordinate roster services to ensure the highest quality of care in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • Roster services for private clients; implement and reassess as needed.

  • Assisting with the after-hour coordinating / roster service as required.

  • Act as a role model to all care staff by upholding the Vision and Values of the company.

  • Form and maintain a professional relationship with Support Professional professionals.

  • Build rapport with Support Professionals through effective work allocation and rostering, clear communications and building rapport to facilitate stability and the long-term retention of staff.

  • Ensure IT system is utilised competently, and data kept up to date at all times.

  • Document all client and staff related events in IT systems.

  • Respond to any queries that may arise from current customers day to day.

  • Develop effective working relationships with both internal and external customers.

  • Ensuring best practice in business processes and procedures are developed for service.

  • Improve and implement the systems we use to deliver its products and services.

  • Deliver continuous improvement to deliver high quality products and services, through refining processes with rostering services.

  • Participate in staff/team meetings.

  • Ensure any concerns are dealt with promptly and professionally.

  • Other duties as instructed by Management. 

 

 

What You Bring

  • Prior experience in a rostering position / or understanding of disability, aged care and community health sectors.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiations skills.

  • Experience working in organisations that apply a best practice approach is desirable.

  • Certification III / IV in Community Service/Aged and Disability is desirable. 

  • Understanding of consumer directed care model.

  • Drivers Licence - desirable.

  • Strong skills in rostering or strong desire to learn.

  • Knowledge of the community care sector and program guidelines.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong Microsoft Office/Procura skills.

  • Client focused attitude.

  • Ability to work effectively, efficiently and accurately in a fast paced team, environment, to multi-task, and prioritise workloads.

  • Demonstrated problem solving.

  • Credibility within leadership teams.

  • Positive energy and resilience to motivate the organisation.

  • Attention to detail.
