About this role…
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Paraplanner to support our financial advisers in delivering high-quality financial planning advice to clients. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in paraplanning within the Australian market, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to prepare comprehensive documentation such as ROAs and SOAs.
What You’ll Be Doing
Prepare polished, compliant Statements of Advice (SOAs) and Records of Advice (ROAs) for diverse client portfolios, under Australian regulatory standards.
Perform financial modelling and scenario analysis (cash flow, investment projections, retirement and superannuation projections, insurance strategies).
Research and evaluate products, investment, insurance, superannuation, and structure options; identify best fit options for clients.
Maintain and update client data using tools/systems like Xplan, Adviser Logic, and other planning software; ensure all data and documents are accurate.
Collaborate with advisers: review meeting notes, provide input, prepare pre-meeting technical materials, and support advice implementation.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (ASIC/RG146 etc.), internal quality standards, and best interest obligations.
Manage multiple advice projects, deadlines and document revisions; give attention to detail in every deliverable.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years in Australian paraplanning or financial planning support; hands-on experience with SOAs & ROAs.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Xplan and Adviser Logic systems (or similar), strong Excel financial modelling skills.
Soft Skills: Excellent written & verbal communication; strong analytical thinking; high attention to detail; able to juggle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Mindset: Self-motivated, ethically minded, keen to learn and take ownership; driven to improve quality and strive for excellence.
