Unlock Your Potential!

At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients across the accounting, finance, and professional services industries.

We are seeking an end-to-end, commercially minded Senior Financial Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations and monthly close requirements for a dynamic project and service-based client. In this hands-on senior role, you will take full ownership of ledger integrity, full-cycle AP/AR, Australian tax compliance (GST/BAS), weekly payroll, and project profitability tracking. Operating 100% remotely on a convenient Australian-aligned day shift, you will leverage modern cloud platforms like Xero, Monday.com, and cutting-edge AI tools to drive financial automation and streamline operational reporting.

Your Impact

  • Full-Cycle Financial Management & Month-End Close: Own the end-to-end month-end close cycle—including bank/balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and the delivery of accurate monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.

  • Working Capital & Transactional Control: Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable (invoice verification, PO matching, payment runs, supplier queries) and Accounts Receivable (invoicing, customer receipting, and proactive debt collection).

  • Project Accounting & Contract Administration: Track construction contract allowances, contract variations, and customer progress payment schedules while delivering granular project profitability and margin analysis.

  • Weekly Payroll & Leave Management: Execute weekly payroll processing, timesheet reconciliations, leave tracking, Rostered Days Off (RDO) administration, and leave balance maintenance.

  • Tax Compliance & Advisory Coordination: Ensure full compliance with Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Business Activity Statement (BAS) requirements. Collaborate directly with external advisors and an outsourced CFO to supply reliable financial data.

  • Process Automation & AI Integration: Leverage AI tools, workflow automation, and platforms like Monday.com to eliminate manual data entry, optimize finance workflows, and improve department efficiency.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal project managers, operations, and customer service teams to resolve finance-related queries and support ad hoc strategic initiatives.

What You Bring

  • The Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or senior bookkeeping roles, ideally with background in construction, trades, or project-based industries.

  • Tax & Regulatory Expertise: Strong working knowledge of general accounting principles, Australian GST obligations, and BAS filing preparation.

  • Software Mastery: High proficiency using Xero and Google Workspace. Direct experience or strong adaptability to learn project/CRM tools like Monday.com and modern AI automation tools.

  • Core Accounting Skills: Direct experience in full-cycle AP/AR, end-to-end payroll administration, timesheet reconciliations, and project profitability reporting.

  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the confidence to handle phone and email correspondence with suppliers, customers, and external advisors.

  • Analytical & Autonomous Mindset: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive, continuous-improvement approach to taking ownership of deadlines independently.
