Unlock Your Potential!

At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients in the accounting and business service industries.

We are looking for a sharp, highly structured Financial Accountant to join our finance team. In this specialized role, you will support a prominent corporate portfolio, taking full ownership of end-to-end month-end closing procedures, complex ledger reconciliations, and intercompany accounting. Operating in a full-time remote capacity, this position is ideal for an ambitious accountant who thrives in a multi-entity environment and wants to drive continuous workflow optimization.

Your Impact

  • Balance Sheet Boss & Journal Maestro: Lead complex monthly balance sheet reconciliations across all corporate entities, maintaining a complete reconciliation register and supporting workpapers. Maintain the month-end journal register and prepare all essential journals—including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and consolidation entries.

  • Intercompany Architect & Banking Bloodhound: Own intercompany loan accounts and cross-entity cost allocations, keeping multi-entity results clean and consolidation-ready. Prepare all bank account and merchant facility reconciliations, proactively hunting down stale reconciling items and settlement mismatches.

  • Ledger Watchdog & Close Coordinator: Perform weekly general ledger reviews to catch miscoding, duplicates, and unusual postings early. Drive month-end close readiness by maintaining the close timetable, tracking cut-off data, and coordinating across the team.

  • Report Trailblazer: Prepare the first-draft monthly financial pack and variance commentary, delivering a polished and timely handoff to the Finance Manager for executive sign-off.

  • Process Improver & Team Backbone: Continuously sharpen financial workflows, reconciliation templates, and month-end routines to document structural process improvements. Provide peak-period back-up support to accounts receivable and accounts payable functions to ensure smooth shared services operations.

What You Bring

  • The Experience: A minimum of 2–4 years of progressive financial accounting experience, with strong, demonstrable ownership of month-end close cycles, general ledger management, and journal preparation.

  • Multi-Entity Mindset: Proven hands-on experience handling balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconcilations, and intercompany accounting across a multi-entity business structure with multiple cost centers or divisions.

  • Xero Devotee: Strong operational knowledge of Xero, including navigating multi-organization environments, chart structures, tracking categories, and automated bank feeds with ease.

  • The Credentials: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance, paired with a CA or CPA qualification (either completed or actively in progress).

  • Sector Savvy (Preferred): Prior accounting experience in healthcare, medical services, or professional services is highly desirable and will fast-track your onboarding.

  • Xero Power User (Preferred): Familiarity with the Xero Fixed Asset Register, tracking categories, budgeting tools, payroll accruals, and leave liability reconciliations is a distinct advantage.
