As a Data Analyst, you will be part of a specialised data analysis team delivering high-impact operational insights, performance modeling, and contractual calculations for renewable energy projects. You will analyze complex data streams, ensure data integrity across various renewable assets, and directly support decision-making for Australian stakeholders.

 

Your Impact

  • Asset Onboarding & Integration: Support the onboarding of new renewable energy assets, including SCADA interfaces, reporting tools, calculation models, and operational processes.

  • Data Processing & Quality Control: Acquire, validate, clean, and process operational data from SCADA systems and monitoring platforms while resolving communication outages or quality issues.

  • Performance Analysis: Conduct time-series data analysis across Solar, Wind, and BESS assets to identify underperformance, quantify production losses, and assist with root-cause investigations.

  • KPI & Contractual Calculations: Perform complex contractual availability and performance ratio calculations according to EPC and O&M project agreements.

  • Automation & Model Maintenance: Build, enhance, and maintain automated calculation models, procedures, and reporting tools to streamline monthly analysis.

  • Reporting & Visualization: Prepare detailed client reports, interactive dashboards, and charts to communicate key operational metrics clearly.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with Asset Managers, technical teams, OEMs, and site operators to resolve data discrepancies and operational issues.

 

What You Bring

  • The Experience: Proven background analyzing operational and time-series data, preferably within the renewable energy sector or technical operational environments.

  • The Credentials: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Data Analytics, Renewable Energy, or a related technical discipline.

  • Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Excel (complex formulas, analytical modeling) and Python for data processing and automation, along with working knowledge of SCADA systems (Solar, Wind, BESS). Experience with SQL, databases, and Power BI is highly desirable.

  • The Mindset: Strong analytical problem-solver with high attention to detail, capable of interpreting complex contractual methodologies into repeatable calculation models.

  • Communication Prowess: Clear verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to bridge technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
