At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients across the accounting, finance, and professional services industries.
We are seeking an accurate, organized Assistant Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations and weekly payroll for a growing international business. In this versatile role, you will take ownership of full-cycle accounts receivable and payable, general ledger reconciliations, weekly payroll processing for employees using MYOB and AlayaCare, and client project budget monitoring. Operating onsite in Manila on an Australian-aligned daytime schedule, you will work closely with onshore operational teams to ensure smooth financial workflows and prompt stakeholder service.
Your Impact
Accounts Receivable & Debt Collections: Generate customer invoices, resolve billing inquiries with operations, compile weekly aged debtor reports, and proactively follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure healthy cash flow.
Accounts Payable & Expense Allocation: Enter supplier invoices into MYOB, allocate costs using accurate account codes, verify client-related recharges, prepare approved payment runs, and distribute remittance advices.
End-to-End Weekly Payroll: Process weekly payroll for staff members using AlayaCare (rostering system) and MYOB, ensuring accurate timesheet integration and wage disbursements.
Reconciliations & Reporting: Execute routine bank and general ledger account reconciliations while assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
Budgeting & Expense Monitoring: Support budget planning activities, monitor client project expenses against allocated limits, and track variances.
Stakeholder Support & Communication: Provide timely, courteous assistance for telephone and email inquiries received from customers, vendors, and internal business leaders.
What You Bring
The Experience: 3–5 years of progressive accounting and payroll experience, ideally gained within a small business, shared services, or accounting setup.
Software Competency: Practical proficiency using MYOB and intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with workforce management/rostering systems (e.g., AlayaCare) or management information systems is highly advantageous.
Core Accounting Capabilities: Strong numerical accuracy for high-volume data entry, proven skills in GL reconciliations, AP/AR workflows, and end-to-end payroll administration.
Organizational Habits: Exceptional time management, detail orientation, and the ability to work efficiently to meet strict recurring weekly deadlines.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the interpersonal capability to build positive relationships across operational teams.
Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Commerce, or Finance.
