We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing team, in support of a prominent U.S.-based client. In this role, you will take full ownership of the accounts receivable lifecycle—from high-volume corporate billing and complex B2B collections to ledger reconciliations. Operating during US business hours, this position is custom-built for a detail-driven finance professional who excels at resolving account discrepancies, loves optimizing manual workflows, and knows how to maintain exceptional relationships with international customers.
Your Impact
Collections Ownership: Manage the end-to-end collections lifecycle for assigned corporate accounts. Issue timely follow-up communications, resolve aging outstanding balances, and strategically escalate delinquent accounts in accordance with established credit policies.
Billing Precision: Prepare, verify, and distribute accurate customer invoices, ensuring strict alignment with executed contractual agreements, client purchase orders, and internal corporate billing schedules.
Account Reconciliation: Investigate and resolve complex discrepancies within customer sub-ledgers. Research historical payment applications, identify the root causes of processing variances, and coordinate with internal teams to clean up outstanding items.
Customer Correspondence: Communicate professionally and clearly with US-based clients regarding account statement statuses, payment processing inquiries, and dispute resolutions, maintaining a firm yet highly respectful approach.
Reporting & Analysis: Generate and maintain accurate accounts receivable sub-ledger reports, aged debtor schedules, and payment tracking logs to directly support management decision-making and smooth month-end close sequences.
Process Improvement & AI-Assisted Productivity: Leverage cutting-edge generative AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or Gemini) to elevate communication quality, draft polished documentation, and optimize daily workflows. Identify manual tasks ripe for transition into streamlined templates or automated triggers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal stakeholders across corporate finance, remote operations, and customer support desks to quickly resolve complex billing disputes and deliver a seamless client experience.
What You Bring
The Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in accounting, accounts receivable, B2B collections, or finance operations, ideally with a proven track record of directly supporting a U.S.-based business ecosystem.
Collections Acumen (Preferred): 1 to 2 years of dedicated corporate credit control or business-to-business (B2B) collections experience within a fast-paced, high-volume environment is a major advantage.
Technical & AI Fluency: Advanced computer literacy with practical proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Practical exposure to ERP and accounting software ecosystems like NetSuite, Stripe, or Zendesk is highly valued, along with comfortable familiarity using conversational AI platforms to boost daily productivity.
Communicative Clarity: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, allowing you to engage corporate clients confidently, articulate ledger issues transparently, and follow up on past-due funds with tact and professionalism.
Analytical Rigor: Solid problem-solving capabilities, with a natural talent for tracking ledger histories, parsing data anomalies, and resolving root causes of payment friction.
Organized & Process-Driven: A detail-oriented, self-directed work style with the capacity to manage multiple client portfolios simultaneously under strict monthly collection and reporting deadlines.
The Credentials: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related financial discipline is highly preferred.
