Unlock Your Potential!

At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients in the accounting and financial services industries.

We are looking for a highly analytical and process-driven Accounting Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will act as a vital technical anchor for a premier North American client portfolio, overseeing high-quality accounting delivery, managing complex platform migrations, and mentoring a team of bookkeepers. If you have a solid grasp of US accounting standards, advanced QuickBooks expertise, and are ready to take true ownership of client success, this role is your next major career step.

Your Impact

  • Diligent Oversight & Quality Control: Conduct comprehensive, in-depth reviews of client financials following month-end close. Ensure absolute accuracy, consistency, and full compliance with accounting standards, providing constructive feedback and executing corrections with precision.

  • Reporting Excellence & Client Advisory: Ensure the timely, flawless delivery of monthly financial statements and management reports. Partner with clients to provide strategic financial guidance, including tailored budget creation, cash flow forecasting, and trend analysis.

  • Technical Authority & Standards Practice: Serve as the subject matter expert on advanced accounting treatments under US GAAP, providing authoritative guidance on both cash and accrual-based methodologies to support team members through complex scenarios.

  • Migration & Systems Management: Lead and execute strategic data conversions from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online, ensuring seamless software transitions with zero disruption to active client operations.

  • Year-End Coordination & Audit Readiness: Oversee the preparation of year-end financials for tax filing purposes, serving as the primary liaison with external CPAs and recording adjusting journal entries. Support clients through audit preparation and act as a reliable point of contact for external audit firms.

  • Talent Development & Process Stewardship: Lead structured, hands-on onboarding and technical training for new bookkeepers. Proactively identify inefficiencies within accounting workflows, implementing system enhancements to elevate overall team productivity.

  • Collaborative Leadership: Actively participate in weekly leadership meetings with the Accounting Services Manager to align on priorities, share operational insights, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and stay ahead of industry updates.

What You Bring

  • The Experience: A minimum of 4 years of solid, progressive experience in accounting or related financial disciplines, demonstrating a well-rounded understanding of full-cycle accounting operations and portfolio management.

  • Standards Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, with proven comfort navigating intricate cash and accrual-based accounting environments.

  • Systems Competency: Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) and advanced Microsoft Excel features. Holding an active QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Certification (or the commitment to maintain one) is essential.

  • Leadership Background: Prior managerial, supervisory, or senior-level review experience in an accounting environment is highly preferred, reflecting your ability to guide and evaluate team output effectively.

  • Analytical Precision: Exceptional attention to detail and strong diagnostic capabilities, enabling you to identify and resolve transactional discrepancies and complex ledger issues with total confidence.

  • Communication Acumen: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to translate technical financial metrics clearly and professionally to business owners and stakeholders.

  • The Credentials: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related academic field is required.
