Workpapers & Entity Compliance: Build clean, reviewable workpaper packages to support every engagement; maintain fixed asset registers, prepare depreciation schedules, manage Division 7A loan calculations, and draft trust distribution minutes.
Activity Statements & Reconciliations: Compile and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), performing full GST, PAYG, and payroll reconciliations.
Bookkeeping Review & Advisory Support: Review client bookkeeping files in Xero, execute year-end adjustments, and assist the Principal with tax planning and advisory projects as your role expands.
What You Bring
Education & Credentials: Degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
The Experience: 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in Australian public practice accounting, with proven capability in end-to-end multi-entity compliance.
Must-Have Software Mastery: Solid hands-on proficiency in Xero Practice Manager (XPM), Xero Workpapers, and Xero Live Files; exposure to BGL360 for SMSF compliance is welcomed.
Technical Knowledge: Solid working knowledge of Australian tax law, GST mechanics, Division 7A rules, and capital gains tax (CGT) treatments.
Core Competencies: Strong self-review habits, high attention to detail, proactive work ethic, and clear written and verbal English communication.
