Month-End Reconciliations & Analysis: Execute balance sheet reconciliations, maintain fixed asset registers, prepare management accounts, and perform thorough variance and data analyses in Microsoft Excel.
Proactive Client & Team Communication: Maintain high standards of professionalism in all internal and client-facing interactions (via Teams and Outlook), surfacing blockers, risks, and process improvements early.
What You Bring
The Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience working with an Australian company or Australian-based client in a bookkeeping, payroll, or outsourced finance function role.
Education & Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline (CPA/CA/IPA progression is highly desirable).
Technical Mastery: Demonstrated working knowledge of Australian ATO requirements (GST, BAS/IAS, PAYG, superannuation, STP) and proficiency with Xero (Xero certification preferred), backed by familiarity with Employment Hero, Dext/Hubdoc, and Microsoft Excel.
