We are seeking an experienced, detail-driven Intermediate Accountant to support our Australian accounting and advisory team. You will work closely with Australian-based managers and principals to prepare annual financial statements, tax compliance work, general ledger reconciliations, and management reports for a diverse portfolio of Australian clients.

Your Impact

• Accounting & Tax Compliance: Prepare annual financial statements for companies, trusts, and individuals, alongside Australian income tax returns, supporting workpapers, BAS/IAS/GST filings, and tax reconciliations.

• Bookkeeping & Management Reporting: Execute full-cycle bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, general ledger journal entries, payroll accounting tasks, and monthly/quarterly management reports.

• Workflow & Practice Administration: Utilize advanced cloud platforms—including Xero Practice Manager, Xero, FYI Docs, Active Workpapers, Class Super, and Microsoft 365 with Copilot—to maintain audit-ready workpapers and documentation.

• Team Collaboration & Escalation: Communicate effectively with Australian team members regarding job progress, meet internal practice deadlines, and proactively escalate technical issues to senior accountants or managers.

What You Bring

• The Experience: 3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, business services, or public practice, with a strong background in Australian tax and compliance frameworks.

• Technical Mastery: Solid understanding of double-entry accounting principles, financial statement preparation, and working paper compilation.

• Software Competency: Familiarity with modern cloud accounting ecosystems (Xero, Class Super, FYI Docs) and proficiency in Microsoft Office/365.

• Core Competencies: High attention to detail, strong organizational and time-management skills, exceptional written and verbal English communication, and a proactive, collaborative mindset.
