  • Financial Statements & Tax Preparation: Produce special purpose financial statements and income tax returns from source documents for sole traders, individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies.

  • Compliance Management: Prepare and coordinate statutory compliance returns, including BAS, FBT, and payroll tax filings.

  • Review & Collaboration: Clear review points set by Managers and Directors, draft professional client communication, and prepare covering letters containing tailored financial recommendations.

  • Budget & Efficiency Control: Manage fee budgets and ensure all jobs are completed efficiently, meeting technical standards, deadlines, and complete working papers within allocated hours.

  • Analysis & Forecasting: Compile and analyze financial information and assist in preparing cash flow and profit and loss forecasts alongside tax planning strategies.

  • The Experience: 1-2 Years of hands-on experience in bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and general ledger management within an AU accounting environment.

  • Technical Mastery: Working knowledge of common accounting systems, including MYOB Essentials, AccountRight Live, and Xero. Proficiency with compliance returns (BAS, FBT, and payroll tax).

  • Operational Discipline: Strong time-management skills, rigorous adherence to KPIs and job budgets, and high attention to detail for complete working papers.

  • The Mindset: A proactive, eager-to-learn professional who participates actively in internal training and embraces continuous professional development.

  • Communication Prowess: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, professional correspondence for clients and internal leadership.
