We are seeking an expert, analytical Senior Accountant to deliver high-level financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, management accounting, and business advisory support to Australian clients. You will manage client portfolios, build financial models, review work prepared by junior and intermediate accountants, and optimize reporting ecosystems using tools like Syft.

Your Impact

• Virtual CFO & Financial Management: Prepare monthly management reporting packs, KPI dashboards, cash flow forecasts, and variance analyses; conduct scenario modeling and budget-to-actual variance investigations to support strategic client decisions.

• Compliance & Workpaper Oversight: Prepare and review Business Activity Statements (BAS), annual financial statements, and end-of-year workpaper packages—ensuring strict alignment with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and statutory obligations.

• Client Relationship Leadership: Act as the primary operational contact for assigned Australian clients, lead financial review meetings, answer technical queries, and present performance insights clearly.

• Team Supervision & Process Optimization: Review work deliverables completed by junior and intermediate team members, provide technical coaching, manage workflow queues, and drive software automation and reporting tool implementations (such as Syft).

What You Bring

• Education & Professional Credentials: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CA or CPA qualified (or actively working toward completion).

• The Experience: Minimum 3+ years of solid experience in Australian accounting practice or Virtual CFO services, with proven expertise in management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Software Mastery: Proficiency in cloud accounting ecosystems (Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks) alongside specialized reporting tools (Syft Analytics or similar dashboarding applications) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Australian tax law, BAS/GST compliance, statutory reporting, cash flow modeling frameworks, and financial statement compilation.

• Core Competencies: Strong team leadership and coaching capability, excellent analytical problem-solving skills, and superior written and verbal English communication.
