Salary Range: Php 58,000 – Php 93,000

We are seeking a detail-driven, technical Junior SMSF Auditor to audit Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) entities and ensure strict compliance with Australian regulatory frameworks. Reporting to SMSF Audit Intermediates and Seniors, you will complete financial and compliance audits, prepare audit workpaper packages, and draft findings for review across a variety of fund investment structures.

 

Your Impact

  • SMSF Financial & Compliance Audits: Conduct accurate financial and compliance audits for simple-to-intermediate SMSF funds in accordance with Australian Auditing Standards and SIS Act regulations.

  • Compliance Checklists & Workpaper Documentation: Prepare comprehensive audit compliance checklists, verify fund assets, and maintain clean audit trails in cloud platforms.

  • Audit Findings & Reporting: Draft audit query letters, identify compliance breaches (such as in-house asset rules or sole purpose test issues), and compile audit management findings for supervisor review.

  • Complex Asset Verification: Review and verify documentation for diverse SMSF investment portfolios, including direct property, unlisted trusts, collectibles, and shares.

 

What You Bring

  • The Experience: 1 to 2 years of solid experience in Australian SMSF auditing gained within an Australian public practice or specialized SMSF audit firm.

  • Regulatory & Software Knowledge: Sound working knowledge of the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act 1993 (SISA) and SIS Regulations; experience using CaseWare Cloud is highly preferred.

  • Technical Asset Exposure: Exposure to auditing varied SMSF investments, including unlisted entities, property, and collectibles, with the ability to work independently with minimal onboarding.

  • Core Competencies: Meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical capability, proactive problem-solving, and excellent written and verbal English communication.
