We are seeking a sharp, detail-oriented, and analytical Auditor to join our team. Working in a collaborative day-shift environment supporting an established Australian firm, you will play a vital role in executing audit procedures, preparing financial reports, and building accurate audit workpapers. In this role, you will apply rigorous professional judgment, utilize modern audit software, and conduct detailed general ledger analyses to deliver high-quality assurance and financial reporting solutions.
Your Impact
Audit Workpaper & Financial Preparation: Create precise, efficient audit workpapers, perform general ledger schedule analyses, and assist in preparing statutory financial reports.
Audit Testing & Evidence Gathering: Obtain supporting documentation directly from clients to corroborate financial statement assertions, perform analytical procedures, and troubleshoot complex accounting queries.
Grant & Financial Research: Conduct research, data analysis, and summarization of financial information for external reporting and federal/state grant administration.
Client & Manager Collaboration: Maintain proactive communication with practice managers and external clients, providing regular status updates, addressing inquiries professionally, and ensuring engagement deadlines are consistently met.
Compliance & Professional Standards: Adhere strictly to firm audit methodologies, statutory reporting frameworks, and corporate compliance standards.
What You Bring
Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
System & Software Proficiency: Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Hands-on experience or certifications in cloud accounting platforms such as Xero and MYOB is highly preferred.
Technical Audit Knowledge: Understanding of financial reporting frameworks, corporate compliance requirements, and audit methodology.
Analytical & Soft Skills: Sound professional judgment, keen attention to detail with high data entry accuracy, and strong problem-solving capabilities.
Communication & Organization: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, strong organizational habits, and the ability to work independently while prioritizing multiple deadlines.
