We are seeking an enthusiastic, analytical US Junior Accountant to join our team. Operating during US night-shift business hours, you will assist in preparing compiled financial statements, working papers, corporate tax files, and personal tax returns for a diverse client portfolio. In this role, you will apply core accounting analysis, adopt modern digital tax tools, collaborate with team leaders, and actively incorporate feedback to build a strong foundation for your international public practice career.

 

Your Impact

• Financial Statement Preparation: Efficiently prepare compiled financial statements, notice-to-reader reports, and supporting accounting schedules following firm procedures.

• Working Paper & Tax Preparation: Compile structured working papers for corporate, partnership, and personal tax returns, including statutory information returns across various client industries.

• Ongoing Accounting Analysis: Execute routine general ledger analysis, trial balance reconciliations, and routine accounting assignments under established firm standards.

• Team & Client Engagement: Communicate progress updates proactively with managers, respond promptly to team suggestions, and build strong professional working relationships.

• Digital Adoption & Practice Excellence: Leverage modern accounting and tax software tools to enhance engagement efficiency, tracking billable time accurately in firm management systems.

What You Bring

• Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree / Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business, or Finance. Active progress toward a CPA designation is preferred.

• Technical Skills & Problem Solving: Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and tax concepts paired with sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Communication & Professionalism: Clear written and verbal English communication skills, a positive collaborative attitude, and strong attention to detail under deadline expectations.

• Leadership & Initiative: Proven self-starter mindset with the drive to ask questions, seek understanding, and work independently on assigned tasks.
