Unlock Your Potential!

At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients across the accounting, finance, and professional services industries.

As an Intermediate Accountant, you will work closely with an established Australian public practice client to manage essential corporate accounting and compliance functions. In this role, you will take operational charge of production pipelines—from ledger tracking and running payroll up to preparing full financial statements and Business Activity Statements (BAS). Operating directly from our modern Tarlac facility, you will gain exclusive access to TOA Global's specialized accounting training program, perfectly aligning your execution with Australian industry standards to fast-track your path toward senior public practice roles.

Your Impact

  • From Journals to Lodgments: Process client transactions systematically up to Trial Balance stage and compile comprehensive financial statements completely ready for final lodgment with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

  • Numbers That Tell a Story: Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly management accounts, operational cash flows, and performance reports to provide international clients with complete clarity regarding their financial trajectory.

  • GST Guardian & BAS Specialist: Reconcile Goods and Services Tax (GST) accounts against historical payments made to the ATO, manage activity statement preparation, and coordinate end-to-end BAS calculations.

  • Ledger Legend & Transaction Tamer: Auto-match bank feeds and manually reconcile complex accounts within cloud systems, constructing automated coding rules for recurring entries. Maintain general ledgers and adjust asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries with high precision.

  • Payroll Powerhouse: Run accurate payroll cycles utilizing Xero Payroll, verifying compliance metrics, calculating employee leave provisions, and ensuring timely distributions.

  • Audit-Ready Analyst & Strategic Forecaster: Research, analyze, and summarize portfolio information to support year-end external audit validations and federal/state grant reporting. Formulate initial superannuation and income projections to assist client planning phases.

  • Vault of Trust: Maintain strict confidentiality across all sensitive financial directories, protecting the firm's brand equity and data privacy benchmarks.

What You Bring

  • The Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years of solid, hands-on experience working directly within an Australian public practice accounting firm is required. You understand workpaper discipline and standard Australian accounting rhythms.

  • Xero Ecosystem Certified: An active Xero Certification is mandatory, combined with practical, daily working familiarity with Xero Practice Manager (XPM) and Xero Payroll.

  • Technical Accounting Acumen: A solid structural understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, accrual accounting adjustments, asset registers, and Australian payroll/GST tax mechanics.

  • Detail Detective & Time Whisperer: Sharp numerical analysis skills paired with excellent organizational habits, enabling you to manage competing compliance deadlines without compromising workpaper quality.

  • Communication Connector: Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills, with the clarity and professional confidence needed to maintain alignment with onshore management.

  • The Credentials: A graduate degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or a closely related commercial discipline to underpin your practical corporate finance capabilities.
