Unlock Your Potential!

At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients across the accounting, finance, and professional services industries.

We are looking for a sharp and driven Tax Consultant to join our growing team. In this hybrid role, you will deliver high-quality Australian tax advisory and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of clients spanning individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships. Operating on a highly desirable dayshift schedule, this position is engineered for an ambitious tax professional who is passionate about public practice accounting, eager to sharpen their technical advisory edge, and ready to make a significant impact on an international scale.

Your Impact

  • Tax All-Rounder: Assist in delivering premium tax advisory interventions covering corporate tax, income tax, Goods and Services Tax (GST), localized payroll tax provisions, and complex Capital Gains Tax (CGT) events.

  • Return Ready: Prepare highly accurate tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships, including precise liability computations for income tax, GST, and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT).

  • Structure Savvy: Provide foundational advice on tax structuring mechanics across personal, corporate, and multi-tier trust frameworks, helping clients navigate cross-border commercial density with confidence.

  • ATO Liaison & Legislation Literacy: Support the preparation of complex tax documentation, compliance reports, and audit submissions destined for the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). Continuously review and interpret evolving Australian tax case law.

  • Research Rockstar: Conduct rigorous technical research into complex domestic and international tax scenarios, drafting comprehensive written briefs that assist senior firm partners in developing structural client strategies.

  • Client Champion & Team Player: Build high-trust client relationships by communicating complex regulatory matters clearly. Collaborate closely with onshore management, contribute to strategic planning panels, and assist in mentoring junior compliance staff.

  • Risk Radar & Growth Driver: Maintain flawlessly documented electronic client files, tracking regulatory changes to mitigate audit exposures. Participate in business development sessions to help formulate tax advisory proposals for prospective corporate accounts.

What You Bring

  • The Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in Australian tax consulting or compliance processing within a public practice firm or corporate tax environment is mandatory.

  • Compliance Confidence: A rock-solid working mastery of Australian tax law frameworks (Income Tax, GST, FBT, and Division 7A rules) with a proven track record of processing returns across diverse entity types.

  • Software Savvy: Direct operational experience with specialized public practice tax systems such as HandiTax, Xero Tax, or BGL (Simple Fund 360 / CAS 360) is highly advantageous, alongside intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.

  • Crystal Communicator: Elite verbal and written English communication skills. You are highly capable of breaking down complex tax legislation into clear, professional, and client-friendly advice.

  • Detail Devotee: Sharp financial analysis skills and meticulous attention to transactional details, giving you the capacity to manage multiple priority files under pressure without missing statutory deadlines.

  • The Credentials: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Commerce, or a closely related financial field. Having completed—or currently progressing toward—your CA, CPA, or CTA (Chartered Tax Adviser) qualification is highly desirable.
