Unlock Your Potential!
At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients across the accounting and public practice industries.
We are on the lookout for a sharp and dependable Intermediate Bookkeeper to join our Manila team. In this role, you will be the backbone of financial accuracy for a diverse portfolio of New Zealand-based clients, keeping the numbers clean, the records tight, and the workflows moving. Operating out of our premium Manila facility, this is an ideal role for an accounting professional who lives and breathes Xero, possesses a solid grasp of New Zealand accounting practices, and takes pride in delivering audit-ready work the first time.
Your Impact
Balance Whisperer: Perform rigorous daily or weekly bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance to ensure client accounts always remain spotless and audit-ready.
Cash Flow Guardian: Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, ensuring every dollar in and out is tracked, coded, and reconciled with absolute precision.
Records Maestro: Process complex financial transactions and maintain accurate, up-to-date digital records across multiple client entities without missing a beat.
Payroll Sidekick: Support end-to-end payroll processing. Candidates with specific New Zealand payroll compliance experience will be prioritized and highly utilized.
Inbox Wrangler & Workflow Coordinator: Assist with high-volume inbox management, filtering client queries, and ensuring all financial communications are organized so nothing critical slips through the cracks.
Xero Hero: Maintain and update client financial data within Xero, leveraging your official certification to build clean, connected, and current reporting structures.
Deadline Defender: Ensure all reconciliations, tax lodgments, and reporting tasks are completed on time, every time—because timely delivery is non-negotiable for our NZ partners.
Process Pioneer: Proactively contribute ideas toward workflow automation and system enhancements that increase team efficiency and service quality.
What You Bring
The Experience: Minimum 3+ years of solid bookkeeping experience, with a proven track record of managing multiple client entities concurrently in a public practice or outsourced environment.
Kiwi Know-How: Strong, hands-on experience working with New Zealand clients is highly preferred. You understand NZ tax nuances (GST, PAYE, etc.) and can hit the ground running.
Xero Certification: Xero Certification is required. You aren’t just familiar with the interface; you know how to leverage advanced features to drive client value.
The Full Toolkit: Demonstrated expertise in bank reconciliations, multi-currency AP/AR management, and general ledger journal entries.
Payroll Plus: Prior exposure to New Zealand payroll processes (PaySauce, SmartPayroll, or Xero Payroll) is a distinct advantage that puts you ahead of the pack.
Communication Excellence: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, critical for maintaining clear, professional relationships with NZ-based business owners.
Detail Devotee: A sharp eye for accuracy and a zero-tolerance approach to data entry errors.
Self-Starter Spirit: The ability to work independently, make sound professional judgments, and stay organized under pressure.
