Unlock Your Potential!

At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients across the accounting, finance, and professional services industries.

We are looking for a sharp, hands-on Management Accountant to support a prominent multi-site business portfolio. In this role, you will take complete ownership of end-to-end month-end processes, deliver accurate store-level P&Ls, and provide high-impact operational insights across labor efficiencies, food costs, and structural overheads. Operating in a flexible remote structure, this position is custom-built for a Xero power user with a deep command of Australian accounting practices who loves turning raw transactional metrics into commercial actions that move the profit needle.

Your Impact

  • Payroll Pro & Labor Analyst: Execute end-to-end weekly payroll workflows within specialized platforms (e.g., Maxtel), reconcile digital timesheets, and calculate technical allocations including PAYG withholding, superannuation contributions, state payroll tax, and EOFY Single Touch Payroll (STP Phase 2) finalization.

  • AP Maestro & Three-Way Matching: Oversee the vendor ledger pipeline, drive automated 3-way matching, routing, and invoice approvals within Lightyear, post valid bills/credits, schedule structured pay runs, and keep complex supplier statement reconciliations spotless.

  • Month-End Machine: Formulate and post critical month-end journal entries (including accruals, prepayments, and intercompany adjustments), maintain the fixed asset register, and complete balance sheet reconciliations with pace and precision.

  • P&L Storyteller: Produce timely, accurate, store-by-store and consolidated P&L statements. Investigate complex budget-to-actual variances, packaging your financial findings into a polished management reporting deck complete with actionable strategic commentary.

  • Cash Flow Sentinel: Monitor daily cash positions across multi-entity bank accounts, build dynamic rolling cash flow forecasts in Excel, and maintain cash modeling spreadsheets that keep business owners one step ahead.

  • Compliance Guardian: Prepare end-to-end GST workings and Business Activity Statements (BAS) ready for supervisor review and lodgment, maintaining audit-ready working paper files aligned with ATO and Fair Work Ombudsman regulations.

  • Trusted Business Partner: Present monthly financial results directly to franchise owners and operations managers, distribute weekly target dashboards on labor/food costs, and translate complex ledger data into practical, store-level performance improvements.

What You Bring

  • The Experience: 3+ years of progressive management accounting experience, with a strong professional advantage given to candidates who have navigated the fast-paced nature of Quick Service Restaurants (QSR), retail networks, or multi-site franchise environments.

  • Software Mastery: Advanced, power-user proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel (nested lookups, advanced pivot tables, data manipulation formulas, and SUMIFS layouts are second nature to you).

  • Ecosystem Familiarity (Preferred): Hands-on exposure to invoice automation tools like Lightyear, Dext, Hubdoc, or ApprovalMax, paired with time-and-attendance workforce management software (LifeLenz, Deputy, or Tanda) is highly valued.

  • Australian Compliance Know-How: Solid operational knowledge of Australian payroll taxes, corporate superannuation compliance, STP frameworks, and localized award/wage conditions.

  • The Credentials: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance. Having your CA/CPA qualification completed or actively in progress is strongly preferred.

  • Communication Prowess: Clear, corporate-ready written and verbal English communication skills, with the personal confidence to partner effectively with international stakeholders while maintaining uncompromising confidentiality.
