We are looking for a detail-driven, dependable, and highly adaptable Accounts Officer (Reliever) to join our onsite team in Cebu. In this dynamic, full-time coverage role, you will serve as the financial backbone behind seamless accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) operations—stepping in to ensure absolute continuity across various client workflows. Your Impact
Invoice Intelligence & Approval Watchdog: Process high-volume business invoices and employee expense reports accurately and on time. Verify appropriate authorizations on all payment claims and check requests before any fund transfers are executed.
Payments in Motion: Prepare, queue, and process electronic fund transfers (EFT) and digital payments efficiently, ensuring supplier timelines are met and corporate cash flow runs smoothly.
Query Crusher & Vendor Vault: Handle general accounts payable and statement inquiries with speed and professionalism. Maintain digital vendor archives and set up new merchant accounts while keeping historical files clean and organized.
Reconciliation Rockstar: Execute complete, routine reconciliations of accounts payable transactions and monitor vendor balances to verify that payment allocations match open ledgers.
Invoice Out, Money In: Generate, review, and issue customer invoices promptly. Proactively monitor receivables ledger balances to collect, process, and allocate incoming payments without missing a beat.
Account Health Check & Query Hero: Monitor customer aging reports for delayed payments or transactional irregularities, catching collection issues early. Investigate and resolve customer ledger queries with care to maintain institutional trust.
Month-End Maven: Assist the central accounting team with month-end closing activities, preparing accounts receivable aging reports, balances summaries, and financial tracking data.
What You Bring
The Experience: Proven experience as an Accounts Officer, Bookkeeper, or Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk. You are familiar with processing transactions for business entities and understand standard accounting lifecycles.
Tech-Ready Skillset: Hands-on familiarity navigating cloud accounting software—whether it is Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks Online, or a similar ERP platform—paired with a comfortable command of spreadsheet applications.
Numbers Know-How: Solid working knowledge of fundamental accounting principles (debits, credits, accruals, and ledger classifications) that you can apply confidently day-to-day.
Analytical Edge & Eagle Eyes: Excellent analytical and numerical skills that help you spot data discrepancies or missing entries before they impact the month-end close.
Communication Clarity: Great written and verbal English communication skills, essential for liaising smoothly and confidently with international clients, local vendors, and internal teams.
Adaptable Discipline (Reliever Mindset): High flexibility and a positive attitude. You pick up new client internal rules quickly and can pivot between task priorities independently with minimal supervision.
The Credentials: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Accounting Technology, or a highly related business discipline.
