We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SQL Developer to join a dynamic Information Technology team supporting a highly regulated North American enterprise. Working within a framework aligned with rigorous international data privacy compliance and security certifications, you will collaborate closely with the Lead Database Administrator. In this role, you will maintain a reliable Microsoft SQL Server environment, develop secure data integrations, and ensure the absolute confidentiality and structural integrity of sensitive corporate data.

 

Your Impact

  • Database Stewardship: Assist in the administration, performance tuning, and technical maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server environments, ensuring optimal uptime, structural integrity, and indexed speed across all database systems.

  • Operational Vigilance & Resilience: Monitor SQL Agent jobs, scheduled tasks, and automated data pipelines. Proactively troubleshoot failures and performance degradations. Manage and verify enterprise database backups using cloud services, ensuring all backup processes are encrypted and fully validated.

  • Integration Architecture: Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot secure data integrations using APIs, webhooks, and secure protocols (SFTP), ensuring accurate and reliable data exchange between internal systems and third-party platforms.

  • Reporting Precision & Analytics: Create, map, and maintain automated data exports from multiple disparate sources. Perform rigorous data validation to support enterprise reporting and dashboard initiatives across SSRS, Power BI, and Apache Superset.

  • Compliance Adherence & Incident Accountability: Handle all protected information in strict accordance with corporate privacy and security rules. Apply data masking, access controls, and encryption standards at all times, promptly reporting any data feed anomalies through established organizational procedures.

 

What You Bring

  • The Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including writing complex queries, store procedures, indexing, optimization, joining relational tables, and producing structured data exports for business consumption.

  • Integration Expertise: Practical experience developing, supporting, or troubleshooting API, webhook, and SFTP-based data integrations, with a solid technical understanding of multi-point data flow and third-party connectivity.

  • Process Oversight: Demonstrated experience monitoring and troubleshooting scheduled database jobs and automated ETL processes, with the ability to diagnose root causes and implement effective patches efficiently.

  • Technical Breadth (Preferred): Modern experience working with SQL Server (2022 or 2025 releases), SSRS, Power BI, Apache Superset, Azure cloud databases, PostgreSQL, or data warehousing technologies is a significant advantage.

  • Compliance Awareness (Preferred): Prior experience operating within a highly regulated compliance environment (such as healthcare, HIPAA, finance, or SOC 2 / HITRUST-certified environments) is highly regarded.

  • Communication Clarity: Fluent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex database or pipeline concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • The Credentials: An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional work experience demonstrating strong technical competency.
