Unlock Your Potential!

At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients in the accounting and financial services industries.

We are looking for a technically sharp, highly adaptable Senior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a premier resource for a sophisticated North American accounting portfolio. You will take full ownership of complex month-end closing procedures, specialized inventory costing analysis, and client-facing advisory support. Operating in a full-time remote capacity, you will be the core insights engine that transforms transactional data into high-integrity corporate financials.

Your Impact

  • Close It Right & General Ledger Ownership: Lead and execute comprehensive pre-month-end close procedures to prepare client files for Controller review. Post complex journal entries for fixed asset amortization, prepaid expenses, corporate cost allocations, accruals, and revenue distributions.

  • Inventory Costing Mastery: Act as the strategic inventory whisperer by managing complex inventory costing analysis, reconciling physical stock counts, administering product/service lists, overseeing Bills of Materials (BoMs), and managing detailed lot and serial number tracking.

  • Reconciliation Rockstar & P&L Analysis: Own multi-layered bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations. Reconcile ecosystem sub-ledger apps directly to the general ledger, maintain fixed asset continuity schedules, and analyze profit and loss accounts to correct coding irregularities.

  • Full-Cycle AR/AP Architecture: Set up client estimates and process customer invoices including billable expenses. Oversee the accounts receivable pipeline (collections outreach, past-due reminders, and reporting) and direct accurate, fully documented accounts payable purchase order workflows.

  • Advisory Support & Insights Engine: Partner with onshore Controllers to assist in compiling annual budgets, drafting projections, building financial forecasts, and generating tailored management or ad hoc reports.

  • Team Lifeline & Process Stewardship: Provide technical backup to junior accounting clerks across core processing pipelines when required. Create, update, and maintain client-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while building automated bank rules in line with corporate policies.

What You Bring

  • The Experience: 3–5 years of solid, hands-on accounting experience with a heavy focus on executing month-end closes, posting complex journal entries/allocations, and drafting financial statements with detailed variance analysis.

  • North American Know-How: Direct experience working within US or Canadian accounting frameworks, demonstrating a firm understanding of North American reporting standards and business practices. (Specific Canadian accounting or bookkeeping exposure is highly regarded but not required).

  • Tech Stack Fluency: High proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Dext, and the Microsoft 365 Suite (with emphasis on advanced Excel and SharePoint). Hands-on experience operating within Karbon and/or Fathom environments is a standout advantage.

  • Communication Excellence: Fluent written and verbal English communication skills. You are equally comfortable drafting firm yet diplomatic collection emails as you are explaining corporate budget variances on an onshore conference call.

  • The Mindset: An exceptional, detail-devoted approach to maintaining clean financial statements. You possess an adaptable, solution-focused attitude when deadlines shift, paired with an absolute commitment to safeguarding vault-level client confidentiality.
