Shift: Monday – Friday | 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM PHT

Salary Range: Php 46,000 – Php 70,000

We are looking for a highly efficient and organized US Tax Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be a key technical driver for a high-performing US accounting firm during peak compliance seasons and beyond. Operating in a full-time remote capacity, you will take full ownership of tax data processing, technical workpaper preparation, and data reconciliation. Your Impact

  • Return Ready Compliance: Lead the preparation and processing of U.S. federal and state tax returns using firm-standard software and established international compliance workflows, ensuring absolute accuracy and structural timeliness across all client engagements.

  • Doc Detective & Discovery: Review, analyze, and systematically organize raw client documentation (including W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, and corporate financial records) to support precise, complete tax return preparation.

  • Workpaper Wizardry: Maintain clean, audit-ready digital workpapers, book-to-tax reconciliations, and structured digital files across all engagements, ensuring any internal or external review team can navigate files effortlessly.

  • Deadline Dominator: Proactively manage your individual queue of assigned tasks, statutory tax deadlines, and daily time tracking within the firm’s practice management software to maximize delivery efficiency.

  • Comms Champion & Process Powerhouse: Provide clear, proactive status updates to onshore managers, flagging complex technical questions early to eliminate bottlenecks. Follow firm workflow methodologies while proposing process improvements to enhance overall client delivery.

 

What You Bring

  • The Experience: Minimum of 2 years of solid, hands-on U.S. tax preparation experience within a public practice or professional shared services environment, demonstrating an ability to work accurately under strict deadline pressure.

  • Technical Software Mastery: Firsthand operational experience with UltraTax is strictly required. Supplementary familiarity with specialized accounting and doc-management tools such as SurePrep, Canopy, TallyFor, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and QuickBooks Desktop is a major technical advantage.

  • Eagle-Eye Accuracy: Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing high-quality tax files that require minimal manager rework or review comments.

  • Organizational Agility: Strong time management skills, giving you the ability to juggle multiple tax files simultaneously, track statutory dates, and reliably follow through on production goals.

  • Clear Communicator: Professional and proactive verbal and written English communication skills, essential for collaborating smoothly with internal stakeholders and onshore accounting teams.
