Unlock Your Potential!

At TOA Global, we are passionate about helping professionals thrive in their careers, businesses, and communities. With a global presence spanning Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, we empower industry-leading professionals by providing world-class opportunities and support.

As the Senior Electrical Team Leader, you are the technical anchor and operational lead for our Philippines-based Manufacturing Design and Drafting team. This role is designed for a veteran of the switchboard industry with a decade of expertise in LV/MV/HV systems. You won’t just be overseeing drawings; you will be driving technical excellence, mentoring high-performance talent, and ensuring that complex Australian infrastructure projects are delivered with precision, safety, and uncompromising quality.

Your Impact

  • Technical & Strategic Leadership: Provide clear technical direction and inspire high performance across the design team. You will oversee the entire design process for Main Switchboards, Motor Control Centres (MCCs), Distribution Boards, and PLC panels, ensuring every project meets the "Gold Standard" of technical specification.

  • Operational Command: Take full responsibility for scheduling team workloads to hit internal production milestones and external client deadlines. You will manage budgets and resources to ensure projects are not only technically perfect but commercially viable.

  • Standards & Compliance Authority: Act as the final gatekeeper for design integrity. You ensure all outputs meet AS/NZS 61439, Statutory, Regulatory, and project-specific requirements. Your oversight significantly reduces financial risk during construction by catching errors at the source.

  • Safety & Quality Champion: Lead by example in upholding the Manufacturing Division’s Safety, Quality, and Environmental System requirements. You will review designs specifically with health and safety in mind, ensuring a positive and proactive compliance culture.

  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise with onshore engineering partners and global stakeholders to ensure design requirements are meticulously documented and understood. You bridge the gap between complex client needs and the drafting team’s execution.

  • Hands-on Design & Mentorship: While leading the team, you will jump into AutoCAD to design circuit diagrams and general arrangements as required, providing "on-the-tools" mentorship and technical troubleshooting.

What You Bring

  • The Experience: Minimum 10 years of local experience in electrical design and drafting, with a heavy focus on the switchboard manufacturing industry. You have a proven track record of leading teams through organic growth and high-pressure delivery cycles.

  • Technical Mastery: Expert knowledge of electrical switchboards, control systems, and power distribution. You are a power user of AutoCAD and possess deep familiarity with supplier equipment from global leaders like Siemens, ABB, Schneider, and NHP.

  • The Credentials: Tertiary Engineering qualification or a relevant trade certificate. You must have a robust working knowledge of the Australian Standard AS/NZS 61439.

  • Leadership Prowess: A self-motivated leader with a knack for motivating and encouraging teams. You provide clear direction, handle communication effectively at all levels, and thrive in a busy, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
