Unlock Your Potential!

At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients in the accounting industry.

As a Senior Accountant, you are a cornerstone of technical excellence and a mentor to the wider team. This role is designed for a public practice veteran who can navigate the complexities of Division 7A, FBT, and TPAR with ease. You won’t just be preparing returns; you will be overseeing workflows, reviewing the work of other accountants, and ensuring the firm remains compliant with the highest Australian accounting standards.

Your Impact

  • Technical Compliance Leadership: Prepare and complete complex taxation tasks, including BAS, IAS, FBT, FTC, and critical Division 7A compliance. You will manage the lodgment of tax returns for Individuals, Companies, Trusts, and Partnerships with absolute precision.

  • Specialized Reporting: Manage Taxable Payments Annual Reports (TPAR) and payroll tax obligations. You will also oversee end-to-end payroll processing, including wages and group certificates, ensuring total superannuation compliance.

  • Financial Stewardship: Assist in the preparation of sophisticated financial statements and related reports. You will maintain the integrity of financial records through rigorous bank reconciliations and general accounting support.

  • Quality Control & Review: Manage and review the work of other accountants to ensure all outputs align with Australian accounting standards. You act as the primary technical resource for the team, resolving complex queries and managing high-level workloads.

  • Audit & Regulatory Liaison: Support the firm in navigating ATO audits (experience in this area is a significant plus) and ensure all practices adhere to relevant taxation and regulatory standards.

  • Operational Excellence: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized remote workspace while meeting strict deadlines and following directed tasks to support the firm’s broader objectives.

What You Bring

  • The Experience: Minimum 5 years of dedicated experience within an Australian public practice firm is required. You are a senior-level professional who intimately understands the pace, technical rigor, and client expectations of the AU market.

  • Supervisory Leadership: Minimum 2–3+ years of proven supervisory or team management experience. You have a track record of successfully guiding team dynamics, managing workflows, and steering financial operations.

  • Technical Mastery: Advanced knowledge of Australian accounting and taxation. You are an Intermediate to Advanced Xero user and possess superior Microsoft Office skills (specifically Excel and Word).

  • The Credentials: Graduate of a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related program.

  • Leadership Prowess: Proven ability to manage, mentor, and review the work of others. You have the technical authority to develop junior staff and the organizational skills to meet competing deadlines under minimal supervision.

  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional verbal and written English skills. You can explain complex tax compliance matters clearly to internal team members and global stakeholders.
