Unlock Your Potential!

TOA Global is the premier talent partner for accounting firms across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines—connecting high-performing finance professionals with businesses that value their craft. We don't just place people in jobs; we build careers where ambition, technology, and expertise intersect.

This is not your average bookkeeping role. As a Bookkeeper supporting a dynamic portfolio of Field Service and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) businesses, you'll be the financial backbone that keeps multiple entities running with precision. From maintaining pristine transactional records to building rolling cash flow forecasts and KPI dashboards, you'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with founders and leadership. Enjoying the ultimate flexibility of a full-time remote work arrangement, this role is built for someone who thrives on autonomy, loves leveraging AI and modern tech to eliminate busywork, and gets a kick out of turning raw numbers into meaningful insights.

Your Impact

  • Books That Breathe & Reconcile: Maintain accurate, up-to-date daily financial records across multiple portfolio companies. Execute monthly bank, credit card, and vendor reconciliations with zero tolerance for mystery variances, keeping every ledger clean and audit ready.

  • Spend Management Optimization: Administer, reconcile, and optimize the Ramp corporate spend management platform—enforcing correct department coding, receipt compliance, and expense policies.

  • Cash Flow & Working Capital Strategy: Manage AR and AP pipelines across multiple entities. Build and maintain weekly and monthly rolling cash flow forecasts, monitoring DSO and DPO trends to help portfolio managers stay ahead of working capital crunches and equipment purchase needs.

  • Operational Metrics & Modeling: Track and report on Field Service and MRO-specific operational KPIs, including gross margin by service line, job profitability, technician utilization, and inventory turnover. Build practical financial models, job-costing trackers, and budget-vs-actual reports in Excel or Google Sheets.

  • Systems Integration & AI Automation: Standardize QuickBooks Online (QBO) charts of accounts across portfolio businesses and integrate QBO with tools like Ramp, Bill.com, and Gusto. Actively leverage AI tools to accelerate data cleaning, draft financial commentary, and automate manual reporting workflows.

  • Leadership Reporting: Assist in the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Help compile monthly financial slide decks and performance summaries that give founders and leadership total clarity.

What You Bring

  • The Experience: 4–5+ years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally across multiple entities or specifically within Field Service, MRO, industrial services, or logistics operations.

  • Technical Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and deep hands-on familiarity with Ramp or a comparable spend-management platform (e.g., Brex, Expensify, Bill.com, Gusto).

  • Spreadsheet Sorcery: High comfort level with Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, including nested formulas, pivot tables, and basic financial modeling structures.

  • AI-Curious Mindset: Strong interest and working proficiency in AI productivity tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar) to sharpen your workflow, analyze data faster, and elevate your analytical reporting.

  • Communication & Analytics: Exceptional written and spoken English, with the ability to explain financial variances and operational performance clearly to US-based founders and executives. You possess a strong analytical mindset that naturally hunts for discrepancies and decodes job-profitability variances.

  • The Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or equivalent certification is a welcome bonus.
