Unlock Your Potential!

At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients in the accounting industry.

As a Staff Accountant, you will be at the heart of our North American firm’s tax compliance and advisory operations. This role is a premier opportunity for an early-career professional to gain broad exposure to public accounting, including taxation, attestation, and even specialized valuation projects. You will work under the mentorship of senior staff and partners, transforming complex financial data into accurate tax filings and strategic advisory insights. If you are a CPA candidate looking to sharpen your professional judgment in a growth-focused environment, this is your next step.

Your Impact

  • Tax Compliance & Advisory Mastery: Lead the preparation of federal and state tax returns for Individuals, Partnerships, S Corporations, and C Corporations. You will assist with tax planning and projections, ensuring clients are positioned for fiscal success.

  • Authoritative Research: Dive into tax legislation to research complex issues and document your conclusions using authoritative sources, providing a solid foundation for firm advisory projects.

  • Multi-Disciplinary Support: Assist in compilation, review, and audit engagements. You will prepare audit workpapers and perform basic procedures to ensure the highest standards of financial accuracy.

  • Valuation & Special Projects: Get involved in the high-level world of valuation and litigation support by gathering financial data and preparing the schedules used in sophisticated analysis.

  • Client Engagement: Act as a professional point of contact for clients, managing the collection of documentation and clarifying financial questions to ensure seamless project delivery.

  • Operational Excellence: Maintain organized tax files and audit workpapers in accordance with strict firm standards, ensuring all quality control and confidentiality protocols are met.

What You Bring

  • The Experience: 0–3 years of public accounting or relevant experience. We value individuals who have a functional understanding of U.S. federal taxation and a drive to build their career in public accounting.

  • The Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. You should be CPA-eligible or a CPA candidate actively pursuing your license.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with tax research tools and accounting software. You have a natural ability to learn new concepts and apply regulatory guidance effectively.

  • Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and the professional discretion required to handle sensitive client information.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team player.
